But that's the real problem, you can't prove it. It's that right there which bothers people because you try to argue point for point against others on TDP vs TMA. You can't prove either being the better game. Why? Because it's all in the eyes of the person playing it.
Which one is better is all just an opinion... there is nothing factual about it. What you view as being great... can be totally cr@p to next person. When you sit here trying to prove people wrong... you're really semi-insulting them. Yes that even includes the realism debate here in this thread. Our problem is that you often hold stubbornly & unreasonably to your opinions.

You refuse to listen to others when their opinion differs from yours (you don't have to agree with others to listen to them). Accepting that other people's views are different from your own is all you need to do. Debating or arguing against them & trying to prove them wrong (some of them at least) is not always the best or wisest solution.

It's not that I'm laying the blame on you... it's just that you have this habit of either continually stirring the pot (throwing wood into the fire) when it should be left alone or you get the ball rolling by posting a small absurd remark that others will naturally argue against. But as for this thread... you did have the tools at your disposal to prevent the whole argument entirely a long time ago.

I just wish someone would collect all the pros and cons of TDP, TG and TMA in a single posting and stick it to the head of the forum to summarize all opinions on that matter.
@richardhamer_00: No, this happens only sometimes. Some people have difficulties to accept other opinions, and others do not like being criticised unfairly. This is, unfortunately, an explosive mix.

Let's talk about Thief, not eachother. Some feel that Thief 1 is better. Some feel that Thief 2 is better. Discuss, don't condemn. It's neat that some people are so passionate about this... but these are games... no need to make it so personal.
