I do.
GGL4
You have plenty of those in just about every mainstream game.

You also didn't include "Looking", "Glass", or "Studios".
Once again:
TTLG = where you're posting right now
LGS = the company that made the games
Right.. good on you man!

If the name is a problem then Got it, instead of Garrett.

I just watched your trailer. Very interesting. It seems like it would be hard to sneak past those horrifying monsters though.

depends on the strategy and "weapons" you use, just like in thief and "real life" confrontation is not recommended :)

I'd like to work on a game where you play as the conceptual successor to the little girl Garrett took under his wing at the end of Thief 3. A little girl thief, doing her thing in a wicked and wild city. Just imagine some of the game play simulations and scenarios. Being literally picked up and thrown around by guards when caught, spying on conversations and hearing mildly innocent narrative from the child thief simply because she can't grasp the severity of a lot of things, imaginative little quips that are cute but funny, having two stories being experienced, the one the mature, older player can interpret, and the lighter, more innocent one being interpreted by our protagonist.
More games should have children as playable characters.

that is a good ideia, the ending of the thief trilogy was to jump to a female character.
The problem is that contrary to real life, violence over children is not allow in videogames,
presenting the problem of the social hipocrisy as usual :S Hide from view, hide from public
perception, the issue of human sacrifice and exploitation.

Yeah there is some potential to make a nice KS campaign, especially if people aren't satisfied by the new Thief game when it comes out. Something that might work well, I think, would be a project by a team made of people from the Dark Mod and going as follows:
"Okay, The Dark Mod is great but the current Doom 3 engine is technically limited: we can't do great outdoor spaces or rooftop areas with a lot of visibility without a performance hit, levels are generally limited in size and at this point we lack a cohesive, interesting campaign that makes TDM feel like a game (which it isn't). Money would go towards: 1. funding good coders to work on the engine and remove all of its limitations while adding features that can be seen in other engines OR licensing an existing, more modern engine and porting the Dark Mod assets and editor 2. funding the development of an entire, consistently professional quality campaign on par with the original Thief games."
The sum of money asked would have to be rather high to successfully see both 1. and 2. through the end. The money for the campaign could be used to hire a few professional level designers (Robert Briscoe, anyone?). The engine part would be more complicated, needing to know whether idTech4 can be successfully improved by specialists or how much work and money are needed to license a commercial engine while allowing an editor to be distributed. Maybe some of it could be reworked to include parts as stretch goals. The nice thing is that there wouldn't be much risk involved, as people working on TDM are going to carry on nonetheless.
Tr3B over at Doom3world has been internally developing a Doom 3 branch that uses the enhanced BFG renderer for better performance while retaining the old asset system for better modding and development. He briefly teased that he would be willing to give early access to his work in exchange for some donations to his indiegogo project. Sadly he has some sort of complex because he seems to have retracted the offer over "lack of interest" because nobody noticed his off-hand comment about it in an obscure thread at Doom3world. I hope he still releases his work but if we could coax "someone" of that skill to assist it would be great.
(Obscure D3W thread)

Even though I don't back games on Kickstarter any more, I always said that if Irrational teamed up with Harmonix to make another Looking Glass style game, I wouldn't just back it, I'd rob a bank and fund the thing myself!
I'd have two conditions, though: Eric Brosius would have to be on board and it would have to be released DRM-free on day 1.

Absolutely, although I don't see more of those happening any time soon. Maybe you've heard of (
http://www.krillbite.com/ats/) Among The Sleep, you might enjoy that one (you can download a free alpha demo from their website).

Every time I see something new from eidos/square enix's "new" thief, I want to punch someone.
Why doesn't TLG or its former members do a kickstart and make a spiritual successor to thief? I'd back it.
I agree that The Dark Mod is the closest thing to a spiritual successor to the Thief series, and it already exists! However, an official campaign does not exist. Even though there is a mini-campaign and a series of individual missions (6 of them) that make up another campaign.
There is work being done by one individual named Grayman, who is creating an 8 mission campaign, and 3 of them are available for download. This campaign is fantastic! Once it's finished, I'm sure The Dark Mod will receive that much more attention from players and mappers alike.
There is also a mission called Reqiem, which is large enough to be a mini-campaign in itself. I'd HIGHLY recommend playing that.
Also, the mod is FREE. It's built from the idTech4 engine, so it's graphics are phenomenal, even by today's standard when you consider the technology that it was built with.
