Oh Zylonbane, time works rather differently in the thief forums! Years, even decades between replies is but a drop in the ocean of eternity we traverse between unbroached subjects!
The point is...the people who run this forum, as us NOT to do it.

Some people are just so damn concerned with the cinematics, and the plot
Ahahaha...akhem, sorry.
Just finished playing DS a few minutes ago, it took me a few seconds to stop the urges to laugh at the ending cutscene. First of all - the ending is too...optimistic. Theres even an actual DAWN in the picture ! Where did that come from ???
Also, ALL of the game's cinematics are completely and consistently and completely and utterly and completely awful and awful and awful and kill and find and crush.
The only one that lives to the quality of the TDP is the one at the start of St.Edgar level, the rest are... It tells you something that the models used in the cinematics are several times worse than the models in the actual game ! When i saw Garret's face in the first Artemus meeting cinematic i cringed. Not to mention that Garret's face is ALWAYS DIFFERENT, in EVERY SINGLE ONE CUTSCENE !!! What, they used 10 different teams making these or how is that possibly could be explained ?
"2D" cutscenes look good...until theres a human face in the picture. Then its simply laughable. Mouthes moves with no regard to an actual jaw, smiles that clearly were made using "smudge" tool, and yet again Garret has a DIFFERENT FACE IN EVERY SINGLE ONE CUTSCENE !!! And in final cutscene he even swaps his mechanical eye for a real one, apparently.
Oh god those cutscenes were horrible...
Also, the plot...ummm...a random monster from the sewers ? Yeah...
Spektor !!!
