If you were a real soldier doing real secret shit, you wouldn't say so
at all, you wouldn't even allude to it, because
real soldiers keep that shit under their hat, especially on internet forums
I did my two years of military service. I don't know if CCCToad is phony like you say, but I can tell you that what he said here is pretty much the truth. Everything which is not PR is classified. When you try to deny this, when you attack someone on this, you look bad. Really bad.
The truth is you lost. Badly. The best thing you should do now is just shut up.

I'm not denying that every little thing is classified. I'm saying it doesn't matter, because I do not believe CCCToad's claims to be in the military.
This isn't difficult to understand.

Also you used QED in the wrong way. :)

Probably because you've never spent a day around it in your life.
Also, get the admins to do a simple IP check. You'll see that my logins mostlly come from Afghan IP addresses.
And spending a lot of time on the internet is, unfortunately, par for the course. There isn't jack shit else to do, and most places have have mobile satellites set up. Browsing, online studies, news, etc, are the main ways most people kill time over here. The operations tempo can actually be pretty slow to, especially in the winter. What we do is now increasingly dependant on the when the afghans want to roll out, and they just don't want to do much at certain times of the year or certain parts of the day.

Just like you've never spent a day in your life around a real journalist. Funny thing, that.
And IP addresses can be spoofed.

Well, ONE day. Didn't talk to the embed much though, he seemed like a dick.

And, also because we weren't supposed to say anything to them except to recite talking points off a sheet they'd given us. Since one mustn't tell lies I decided to avoid him.

One problem I'm finding is that if you ARE in the military, then it means the military employs people who have fucking ludicrously tinfoil hat worldviews and who post about them on gaming forums. Also, people who can't spell shrapnel, even when it's apparently stuck in them.
That's pretty terrifying, really. Though I guess it goes some way to explaining the current state of affairs.
