Ultima Underworld...even on DOSbox because it runs extremely slow.
Not really. All you have to do is set the game to 20000-30000 CPU cycles and Dosbox will run it perfectly.
Anyway, I wouldn't be too excited over an Ultima Underworld remake. Even with better graphics and all the other perks moderning up a game gives you, it's been a been there done that affair for almost 20 years now. I wouldn't mind seeing more games like it, though. It's been way too long since we all had a nice tough as nails dungeon crawler that's about more than just leveling up and fighting monsters. The last game like that was what? Arx? I don't think there's been anything similar since.

I've tried that, it still runs like ass. Even System Shock works better, though I had to set it to OpenGLb to get it running decently.

I don't think these threads are about what you think they are about.

I dunno, man. The only thing I had to do was set it to OpenGL output, 30000 CPU cycles, auto core, standard audio, and 1920x1080 res with aspect ratio correction to get it working. Pretty straightforward stuff as far as Dosbox goes. Maybe it's your copy of the game or something.

I have a preconfigured copy of both UU games with their own .exe's. Got it somewhere Demonic awhile back. They are flawless. I could get you copies if you want.

Actually, that would be awesome. Do you have rapidshare links?

Isn't Dosbox pretty CPU intensive? I mean, maybe you two have different CPUs and so are getting different performance.
