thief 1/g/2 plays so well in controls, and the fact you can hide in shadows and plan out steps is the simple reason why thief fan missions are so amazing
ofcourse all the bells and whistles only make it more engrossing to play
sorry thief 3 = garretts bad hips, still waiting for thief 3 to be remade into thief 2 fan mission so we can actually enjoy the game
