Interestingly, the blackjack will disable a robot but the sword won't. If you try it with a combat bot, I recommend very good circle strafe skills.
That is interesting. Mind you, taking out a robot with the sword wouldn't be that smart anyways. Smaking metal with the sword in the original Thief games is LOUD. Before you know it, you'd have all the guards in the level after you :p

The times i've whacked a bot on the snout, through a door, with my BJ! :ebil:

It has been said that you can "kill" him.
When you enter the room drop a mine or two at the door. DON'T GO NEAR HIM.
Explore the room clean out the safe, and whatever else.
He will run for the door and be blown up.
Try it.

I haven't tried it, but after looking at it in Dromed I think that killing it would be harder than getting the bow upgrage.
And we all know how hard that is.

It can be done. Circle strafe around the big fellas and pound away.
You can kill spiderbots with the blackjack too. It just takes a bit more effort. :cheeky:

Has anyone tried using the sunburst on the little golden child yet?

It's funny - hitting the robots with the sword won't do a thing.
I'ts the blackjack that kills them. Both the big ones and small ones.
The best use for it is to hide the deactivated bodies. If you break them up, then you only need to hide the torso, the rest of the peices dissapear.

Yeah, I've killed bots lots of times with the blackjack. It seems mostly a matter, for me at least, of finding the right rythm so that they can never recover enough to start shooting. Generally I avoid it, though, because it makes so much damn noise, lol.
As far as the Golden Child goes, I never tried the landmine trick Blackman referred to. I thought he was Deathstage 12 and so was totally invulnerable. But yes, he is really really annoying. I hate stuff I can't break or kill.:ebil:
