Deth easily gave as much as he was given. If he were entirely innocent in any and all matters like he claimed he was, I'd feel a lot more sorry for him. Yeah, he's had a rough life, and there were quite a few times people did things to him that were entirely uncalled for, and blah blah blah. But he kicked as much shit at undeserving people as people kicked at him, so I can't say I feel 100% sorry for him. He could be just as petty, just as much of an emotionally stunted 13 year old shitbag as anyone else.
That's always been my problem with Deth. He's completely oblivious to the fact that he's just as bad as the people he loathes. In isolation, he was a great guy to hang out with on Steam with Duck and Sulp. But goddamn, sometimes talking to him was like tiptoeing through a minefield. If you didn't say just the right thing at just the right moment, or even worse, say the wrong thing at the worst moment, he'd label you a complete asshole, and would never forgive or forget. And by never forgiving or forgetting, I mean he had a bad tendency to hound the everliving shit out of people.
Honest, I've never been completely sure how to take Deth. I don't know if he's one of the greatest internet trolls who ever lived, and he's playing off our sympathes by acting the victim for shits and giggles, or if he actually is the way he presents himself, and...if that's the case...then he's in desperate need of psycharitic help.
I'm actually thinking it might be the latter, becuase I was raised by someone who had a lot of his same at-first-glance problems, and the way they're presented is to be a little too on the head for it all to be faked. He sees situations the way he chooses to see them, rather than the way they are. He keeps constantly saying he's victimized because he doesn't know anything else, and in the end, it kinda makes him comfortable. And miserable. He's a lonely guy. His fighting back? Overcompensating for not doing it enough when he was younger. Him taking it too far, and seeing himself as the victim when people give back what he gave them? It's really not about them. It's about him. He refuses to see anyone else's situation, and thinks in terms only of how it relates to himself. He's had a shitty life, damnit! People need to realize that! LOOK AT ME! I SUFFER SO MUCH! If he has to make an enemy of someone to show that, then so be it. So long as they fight back, and he can cry foul. His multi-paragraph fuck you goodbye speech? A final act of outwardly aggressive attention seeking self-flagellation.
Hell, I could go on. I don't even feel like I've scratched the surface of what he does, or truly explained how he is. This isn't armchair psychology. This is me recognizing in someone else the same problems that people had surrounding me when I grew up. I still haven't quite learned how to deal with it. Weird that I'm having to do it now on the goddamn internet of all places. Normally I try to keep my distance, and call it a day. Don't know why I'm not doing that now.
If you're still reading this, and you see Deth, tell him I wish him the best, it was fun hanging out with him sometimes, but ultimately he's too much of a burden to deal with. So make fun of me, post nasty crap to my Facebook wall, troll me on Steam. Tell him to do whatever he needs to do to make himself feel good. Once the reciprocation is over...happy trails.

Come and criticize ThiefGen all you want, which does have a few autists and straight up assholes, the only difference with here being that they're less self-conscious about it, but the quality of CommChat is right down the gutter with shit threads like this. Thank fuck for the Thief community producing fan content because the place would rot without them.
And fuck you LaffyTaffy420 for becoming the biggest disappointment of 2014 yet, though your previous work here was top level.

Those are the only possibilities? because I think the truth is in between. I never said he was a saint, I said he was a good person. Good people have flaws.
