Yes, you are right about an optional objective here, as I designed it to be too close to a real life scenario. I could have made the mission fail if the big window were broken at all, and placed an on screen message so the player would know.
The only way around this is once the window is broken is to: once on the rooftop you have about 10 seconds to blackjack the Archer before he fires at the powder keg. Then wait until the thief guard turns, blackjack him. Move the powderkeg, move the wall blocks.
Thanks for your input elkston, and in the future I will use more optional objectives, and a pre-emptive type in this kind of scenario.

Darth,
Thank you for understanding and your reply.
I will try your suggestion. Maybe the gas arrow from the armory will work. If not, then I do have a older save that will set me back somewhat, but not all the way to the beginning.

Thankyou elkston again for your input, as it is invaluable to me to improve as much as I can. I apologize also for this tricky objective, and I am planning an updated version. It really does suck when, after taking the time to gather lots of loot and explore to get to a point of failure. It can break the game!
Consider a new version of this on the way!:thumb:
And thankyou for your understanding. You would make an excellent beta-tester :)

Darth,
I was able to quickly blackjack both those fellows, so I could proceed despite having the bank President stuck there.

P.S. - Finished the mission. 2366 loot out of 2500 or so. Not bad. Looking forward to the sequel. Seems like that's going to be more my type of mission: with temples, magic, supernatural stuff.

1.Make the fail on sight pre-emptive if the President notices Broken Window or a Body, so that the mission will fail. Or make the Glass unbreakable.
2.Reduce the loot amount on "Garrett" difficulty
3. Have Garrett speak about the PortCullis at the Presidential Estate so the player will know that this is for Leaving the Mission.
4. Warning about the Electric Fence, for the explorers.
Anyone who is interested and has any Ideas on improving game play ect. please leave a note in this thread, and I will include it in the Updated Version if it is within my means, asThe mission is maxed out for building anything else, and object count is maxed out.
And thankyou everyone for input, as this helps to make any game a better experience.:thumb:

Restarted from an earlier stage. The ghost appeared, got the key and scroll I did all the following steps but unfortunately the returning the key objective never ticked off I forced the ending.....:ebil:

Cool! Thankyou! Strange that the "Return Key Objective failed" I think the Bank President is behind it:laff::laff:

Congrats, this was a fun mission! I liked the idea of revisiting a familiar level, but with different objectives.
Just some thoughts by way of constructive criticism: I'm a little torn on the way certain things appeared only after they were needed, like the switch in the Prez's office and so forth. I understand you were trying to guide the gameplay, but it seemed a bit disingenious as far as continuity goes. Also, the final five objectives or so seemed a little tacked on after spending such a long time getting through the bank. The backtracking in the last third of the mission got a little tediuous - for example, why did Garret bother copying a key so he could return it to a corpse?
But still, high marks over all - good job, and I'm VERY anxious to see the sequel!

Thankyou for your input, and I have made a note of this and will polish up a few things in the updated version. This is why Garrett had to:Make a copy of the Golden Key and Return it. Henry (the ex Bank President) gave his life to find it, and Garrett has experience in making a key from a wax copy being the master he is. Another point is that without the Treasure Book and the Ruby Eye, whomever stumbled onto the secret room and found henry and his key would not be able to access the actual Lair. Just my insane perspective!:joke:
I am glad you enjoyed it!

Don't get me wrong, I liked the shift in the story and I'm excited to see where it takes it. I guess maybe if there had been more of a way to work those elements in as the mission was going, rather then them all coming in suddenly at the 11th hour. Probably, though, my main frustration was just that I kept getting lost running back and forth, which is more my problem than yours! I always have TONS of games I'm playing at one time, so anything that takes more than average time tends to frustrate me easily (again, my problem, not yours).
Anyway, thanks again for a great effort, and we're all awaiting anxiously the second chapter!! :thumb:
