SpoilerYou have the Book of Treasures so the next task is find the Golden Key, and of course this is just from the clue in the Treasure Book.
The easiest way to the Deadmans Room is to go to the Hall of Statues and go to an outer room where you will see a grandfather clock, and in the corner you will see a Navigation Globe. Frob the Grandfather clock and go thru the door to your left. Once you have followed the goals from there go to the music room and frob the Harp(Only after you have read the Deadmans Scroll.
When you have picked up the Doll, the Child Ghost "Trish" will leave a key to the Presidential Estate, and besure and read the scroll she leaves you as this is another objective. The Presidential Estate is where you started in the Courtyard through the PortCullis.

For whatever reason, I got the book and never read it. Geez what a noob mistake..lol Thanks for the help! Cool mission, I am eagerly waiting for the sequel. :thumb::cheeky:

Having trouble finding the book. It is not where it should be, but the glasses are still there. I followed the sequence. Also, Killed the spider and k.o.'d the thief and guard. Went through the vent. Maybe I did something wrong? :tsktsk:

Go thru the Vent on the Roof that leads into the Vault. There is a switch midway in the vent on the ceiling of the vent passage. Frob it and the Saftey Deposit Door will open. Go into the vault, stand up ,turn around and it is in the Saftey Deposit Shelf:)

I had forgotten just how frakkin' huge this bank is! it's been years since I played it, though, so it was almost like a whole new mission anyway.
there are some great bank-centric conversations I don't think I've heard in any bank-based FM, and had totally forgotten. almost made me tear up :p

Garrett intends on Returning the "Voice Recorder" to the Vault, but when he Reads the crumpled Letter in the Presidents waste paper basket he then decides to give the President a taste of his own medicine; "Frame me will you? Pin the Robbery on Me? I dont think so!" Meanwhile of course the Bank President has been eager to get his hands on the "Book of Treasures" to fulfill his own ends, and Garrett is now thinking" I would like to know more about this", as He always says...He's interested.
By returning to the Presidents room after depositing the Spectacles in the Vault to Complete the Frame on the President, he hides up on the Beam knowing that he cant possibly be detected. If he were detected, then the Mechanists would realise what took place, and the President could easily clear himself of any guilt in the eyes of the Mechanist's. This is the reason that the Mission Fail is so important. Now once the President leaves after being asked to leave by the Lead Arrest Mechanist Guard (in a blue suit) the Mechanists place him in the Torture Room and try to get more detailed information from him, but to no avail, and they end up killing him.
In the meantime, Garrett has witnessed not only his success in the Frame, but has also relinquished himself of any link to the " Voice Recorder" incident "Period" His first main objdective for returning has been 100 percent successful.
In addition to this he has witnessed the Bank President stashing, or removing something from the Secret floor compartment, and when he reads it" Letter to the Hired Thieves, he finds out that the President has ordered the Thieves to the Roof to Break into the Vault to Steal the" Book of Treasures"
Reading the Book of Treasures reveal that "Henry" The deadman in the Secret Room behind the Office wall, already had the Treasure Book in his hands and made a note to himself where exactly the Secret Room was located. Henry, the Presidents Brother had been searching for this Book for Years, and had the Golden Key in his posession. The only problem was that by some means, he was locked in the Room and suffocated. This cost him his life. His Brother '"The Bank President " aka "The Snake" knew that Henry was in search for the Treasure Book,but he dissapeared... never to be seen again.
Garrett now, from each clue given to him is on his way in obtaining the Ruby key once he finds Dew Drop Dolly for Henry's Daughter "Trish" who was badly bitten by a little green nasty spider in the music Room. Trish was only five years old when she died, and Henry buried her in the Presidential Estate Cemetary. Henry of course used to be the Bank President prior to "The Snake" as they called our Currently dead Tortured President.
Garrett after reading the Scroll left by the Ghost Child "Trish" has given Garrett instructions on obtaining the Ruby Key which Henry had buried in her grave when she died. This makes you wonder...Did Henry have Trish, being much smaller than he, have her in search of the Book or the Key by chance?
To conclude this according to the information contained in the "Book of Treasures, Garrett now has everything he needs in his posession, to enter the Passage to the Dark Lair, and the new Story Begins. " Dark is the Lair"

Thanks DL...At first when I went through the vent and exited in the vault, I closed the door behind me and found out I could not reopen it. Whoops.
I did go through the exit, but game didn't end because I was short a measly 10 in loot.
Yes, I noted all the changes. You made quite a large map and I spent a lot of time trying to find the location of the clues....especially that darned navigation globe. I remembered seeing it earlier.
Looking forward to the sequel.

You are Welcome, and Thankyou! Yes it is a very Large map and it takes alot of time to sneak and gather information in all of the clues present.
In "Garrett" difficulty, I didn't feel like placing the Maximum loot Goal at 2559 as I felt 2480 was enough loot hunting with all the other activity.
You were short 10 Loot? Did you:Find the Gem Ring in the water on top of the Water Fountain in the Courtyard?
The sequel is coming, but it will be awhile.:thumb:
