Neither of those were the least bit of help - the first one being a hell of a lot more complex than what I did... I just waited until the guy in black's back was turned and ran up to the two thieves on the roof and blackjacked both...
... and your second post doesn't seem to resemble anything I've found so far... No dewdrop doll anywhere I can find... I'll keep looking for it.

sorry, when you said you had completed all of the objectives except exiting through the Lairs passage, I asumed you already had the Doll.
The Treasure Book is in the compartment behind the sliding saftey deposit door you opened when you were in the Vault Vent. Read the Book and it will give you a new objective: Find the Golden Key. Once you have this key, follow the other objectives, and The Deadman's Scroll tells you where to look for Dew Drop. Read the Scroll that the Child ghost leaves you on the small table in the Music Room( Where the Harp is), and your new objective will appear. This will be your last new objective. The scroll will explain what to do.
and the Key to the Presidential Estate will be on the same table as the Scroll.

Ok, finished - decent enough mission, but I had some real issues as a few things just never even occurred to me... Picking up the spectacles for example, I didn't notice them in the out-basket there, and not picking them up didn't trigger a next 'step' - likewise reading an objective item... I'm used to those NOT being something you can read in levels so it didn't even occur to me. Once I had that little bit, I got the rest on my own.

Cool, glad you liked it. When I first started playing in 99, I was into alot of first person shooter games, and I was always so busy shooting, and ducking etc, I always overlooked maps, and info about ammo dumps and so on. After multiple plays doing things the hard way, I had discovered reading was an advantage in games. When I first started Half Life, I realised what I was missing.
I am currently working on another project which will require only a little reading, and mostly symbols, which will guide the player to the next objective, as like in some games, it is easy to get involved in game play to an extent that reading anything is boring. Good luck on your next one!:thumb:

Did you get the gem ring from the fountain top in the courtyard where you started in game? And you have already been in the Presidents Chateau? The Dome Room just down the Hall from the Big Vault? On the floor of the wooden walk, just below the Presidents office hallway, two coins, and
in the adjacent rooms to that, some coins on the desk. I am just trying to remember some harder to find loot here. In the outer room from the Hall of Records? Coins under the Bank Lobby Counter? and in the adjacent rooms, 4 safes. In the room adjacent to the Main Front Lobby there are some hard to see coins on that counter top. The room adjacent to the "Meeting Hall". The Goblet in the Vaults outer room on the Stand not too far away from the Combination lock? Coin stacks in the offices, and some in shelves.
