Are you widescreen gamers or are you still happy with your 4:3 or 5:4 screens? If you went from the latter to widescreen, how was it for you (nudge nudge, wink wink)? How much of a difference did it make for you?

Widescreen for gaming and movies, I like it. It's more natural to the eye.

Switched from 4:3 to 16:9 a few months ago. At first it was weird, but I got used to it and I like it much. First of all it was a drastic change (from 17" to 32"), so e.g. playing fast-paced fps games was a nightmare for me, eyestrain after 10-15 minutes. But I got used to it, though I rarely play games like Q3 or UT3 right now and I seem to play more games using gamepad, so I'm not sitting 1,5 m from the monitor.

Hell yes, increased FOV's are made of win. Especially in FPS, 3rd person action games and titles with an isometric/bird's eye perspective.

Thief work great with widescreen LCD's.

It does take a little getting used to, yes, but widescreen is good. Also, the future.

16:10 for over a year now - yay! I second the opinion that it's more natural.
But, there was one having a comment over the hype about widescreen (was about the time of the Bioshock widescreen-disaster) which I do remember from time to time:

For me widescreen is not more left/right, it's just less up/down.
:p

Well, as long as my 15" is working I won't even consider widescreen.
Then I'll have no choice anyway.

Why not, Koki? There are still lots of 5:4 screens around, added to which there are always good second-hand offers (although perhaps not in your country - I don't know) from people who change not because their old screen is bad but because they get a kick out of getting new stuff.

16:10, 1920x1200 (when possible).
Been using a Dell 2407 since Easter '07.
Would never go back now :)
