Wierd Stuff about Thief Games... - by xTodesengelx

I was just curious if this happens to anyone else. I own the Xbox version of Thief 3. Damn my computer for not being able to run it, but fortunatly I can run Thief 1 and 2 on it.
This is just some weird things I've encountered while playing...and was wondering if it happened to anyone else...Not really a problem or playability issue...just...weird stuff.
While playing Thief 3 on Xbox...sometimes the sound goes away completely...and only small clicks are able to be heard while running or doing whatever...It's annoying and I always have to restart the console and reload the game...also I hate the loading times in that game...so long.
In Thief 2 in the 2nd level (the one where you have to steal loot to pay your rent etc...)
This happens all the time to me...and I replayed this part just to see if it kept happening.
There are two assasins/thieves near the docks where Davidson's boat is. I pretty much killed every single other person in the level (KO'd them) I'm not big on killing someone if I don't need to...most of the time. Well...I was at the end of the level...sniped the bowman guard who was standing near the door right across from the dock (not the one on the boat.)...I readied my bow to try and kill off the two assasins because they were getting annoying...and the two assasins freaked out and started running in circles screaming for help! It's like their AI glitched or something and they were like a broken record...I could go up to them and attack them with my sword, bow, blackjack...and they eventually did die...they just didn't fight...That or they ran away back into the building, ran around in there all over the place...came back...started to fight again, then continued to scream and run in circles...I was like...O.O! wtf!
Another "glitch" in this level. After I reloaded the game a few times to see if the above would keep happening...I went to snipe the bowman guard...He fell forward...and I saw the biggest explosion of blood fly out the back of his head...I mean bigger then what usually comes out...and then it (the blood) started to swirl like a tornado...up into the air like a funnel cloud...It was weird. I sat watching it for about five minutes until it went away.
Also another thing I notice about this level that was odd...You can walk on the sides of the building (the ledges)...well sometimes if you run on them, it sounds like you're running on a metal floor...when the ledges are clearly made of cement/stone....odd.
Does anyone else know of any weird glitches or anything odd?

Some have reported a strange Hammerite that merely stands in areas where there are usually none.

Hey,
In the Xbox Thief 3 (I have PC and Xbox version) I have noticed that you can see torches and any other flamse through the walls! As soon as a level starts you can pretty much see all the flames in the level through the walls!
Have you had this problem too?

I've noticed that before, too
Never seen any of the other stuff, though - but, you gotta love the Dark Engine :D

Man, it seems like you guys with the glitchy games get all the fun! I wanna see someone's head explode!
The only glitch I've ever gotten is armed enemies behaving like civilians: Just running away without fighting.

it's not exactly the dark engine that keeps thief 3 running, it's a modified version of the unreal engine (ut 2003 engine I believe). in all nreal games you can see lights through walls if you know how, but you oly see them for less than a second (at least that's how it goes in ut 2004 where they pretty much fixed that). for example if there's a light around the corner and you move so the light goes behind the corner but you keep looking in the same direction, you'd be able to see how the light glows through the wall and then disappear.

That happens all the time on Thief. Usually its loud floor onto quiet floor. A jump usually takes care of it. It's just annoying.

I always hated that, especially when a guard was near.
