The time hath arrived where I will contribute another video to my thread, possibly get a few more votes on the poll, now that a significant amount of time has passed. Anyways, this video makes me laugh pretty good, especially considering that it was created a year ago. Those tend to be my favorites, the speculation videos from before the game is really known. I think you can have more than one timeline in a canon.
The Tomb Raider reboot may start a new timeline where the events of the older games may not have happened yet, or will ever happen, but all that means is that the canon has two timelines. There is still an official series of games that have their own timeline.
Plus the FEAR games have more than one timeline. That is, the expansion packs for 1, and the Reborn DLC for 2, contradict the events in the main games.
So, as an official Thief game Thief 2014 will be canon. Just not sure if it will be considered to be in the same timeline as the older games. Sometimes you get the sense that it is set in the same universe just years later, but then again, it is also supposed to be a reboot rather than a continuation.
