I am new to the forums but luv thief, I have the steam games, I want to play the missions and will buy the boxed games, but will it cause conflict on my pc,thanks.:

I'm not sure what you're referring to by 'cause conflict'. If it's Steam, you need to make sure that the games are not installed in protected folders which I think Steam tends to do. Have a look at (

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) Tafferpatcher thread for T2 or (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733) TFix thread for T1/G and post a question in the appropriate thread.
If you're talking about problems with boxed sets then again, you need to run Tafferpatcher for T2 or TFix for T1/G installations and again, post in the respective thread if you have problems with installing.
We try to keep posts in relevant threads so when people are searching for answers, they're mostly in one place. But if you do need help and can't find the answer, please come back here and ask.

thankyou for reply, in a nutshell, can you only play the fanmissions on a boxed game, or is it possible to play them on my steam games of thief, Iappreciate your help.

I think maybe they're worried the the steam version of thief and the boxed version will conflict somehow if they're both installed? They won't.
Also, if you have steam versions, you're fine, you don't need the boxed versions to play FMs. Just do like nickie says above and it should work OK.

Hi all and thanks for the welcome, I would appreciate your help with downloading fanmissions and updates/patches as I am not too clever at this, when I click through to get the fan missions I end up with a blank pale blue screen,also when on the page for update for thief deadly shadows I am not clear as to what to install as there seems to be a number of options, again thanks for any help,

Forget Thiefmissions.com that site is outdated for a long time , check Lors Soth site that is always updated and has pretty much regarding thief missions:
