Don't get me wrong, I loved DS. But I'm well aware of its faults. Minimalist Project and the tweaker helped a lot though, and it's still my 4th favourite game of all time.
As for T2's ending, I thought it wasn't as good as DS's or DP's endings, but still I don't see anything terrible about it.

Oh and I have no problem with people who hate Thief 3. If it was the other way around and the majority of people were posting on the forums about how much they loved T3 I'd probably be asking what was so great about it. I just don't like majority opinion.
As for the ending of T2, I didn't think it was terrible, just thought it ended really abruptly. I actually even thought my disc was faulty or something and that it cut out before the end of the cutscene, but sadly that was in fact all there was..........

Yep,real fans don't want any T4. We have T1/2FMs aand T2X, they'll keep us going until the end of the world.
besides, there are plenty of newer good games to play, like Splinter Cell3 (soon SC4), Hitman3 (soon4), Elder Scrolls4, soon Gothic3 and C&C3 etc. Enough of Thief ! I propose to send a petition to Eidos to not release any new Thief, we want Hitman4 and 5 more!
