I checked. If you try to use "Thief 4" as your search criteria, guess what will happen. :)
You get a host of threads, but NONE that is really about Thief 4. My assumption is, that the Thief 4 searchwords will ommit the 4 and only search for Thief, which returns all kind of threads. So if the Thief 4 thread is not still on the top in the list AND a new member DOES use the search function, the chances that he finds something appropriate is pretty slim.
Unless he really takes the time to sift through all the returned threads, where most of them are totally unrelated. :ebil:

To answer the question.
Yes. Yes there will be another "willl there be a thief 4 thread."
There really isn't much we can do about it. Even if the search function did display numerous T4 threads we would still get some new ones because generally most new people don't use the search function anyway.
We've ALL been guilty of that once or twice so the best thing we can do is just politely remind them to, erm, use the search function.
Mean people suck.

They could of course just use a bit of common sense. It doesn't take more than a second's thought to conclude that the question will have been asked, answered and discussed to death in a Thief forum.

Actually, for once, they must. If they do make a Thief 4, it's a huge loss, since people won't buy it. The Thief series is already the hardest stuff to work with, and has killed 2 companies. I don't think a 3rd will risk taking up something like Thief 4, since it's like walking into a minefield...
