Is it Call of Duty 4 a game powered by Steam?:wot: is it a single player or a multyplayer game? I hate steam and i don´t play in multiplayer.

If you can find a retail copy, there's no Steam activation required. I dunno what shops you have down there, but national chains in the states typically have it for 20-30 USD.

You sure about that? I've yet to see it for less than $40. (which I find insane)

I was going to check Target's price, but it's not on the website anymore. It was definitely on sale a week or two ago for $20 (GOTY edition) and I thought I saw it for $30 at Walmart (and also post-sale at Target) but I could be wrong.

It's both a single and multiplayer game.
Honestly, while the singleplayer is fun, it's still noticably Call of Duty (aside from the Chernobyl flashback, which was brilliant and made me wish for a Metal Gear Solid game set in the Zone) and only 6 hours long, so it's really not worth the full retail price if you're not going to play multiplayer.
(For what it's worth, I like a good multiplayer game as much as anybody, but I haven't even touched TF2 in ages. I should fix that...)

In any retail store here in Portugal, a new copy of CoD4 would still be 50€, unless the price was suddenly cut because of the sequel. The original poster would be much better served by ordering the game (or anything, really) from a UK based online retailer.

I was initially completely anti-Steam; now I don't know what I'd do without it.

I´m not going to buy any Steam game, for the reason that i don´t have net, also don´t like to install a game for 12 hours, if i am to buy a game it should contain already the full contents in the dvd, and not download 90% of the game throught steam, i hope steam goes out of business, and then i want to know how people will install their steam games. Steam is just another filthy smartass company that sucks money form people that can be easly explored, such as addicted gamers.
So anyone want to sell me a copy of Call of Duty 4 without steam? or i can change for other games and stuff that i´ve got.
thanks for your attention.

You, sir, are a nut.
Edit: Why the lack of net, by the way?
