I was initially completely anti-Steam; now I don't know what I'd do without it.
This.

don´t like to install a game for 12 hours
Then disable the option for automatic updates. And it's not like non-Steam games don't need patched.
I do appreciate that not everyone has the internet; I didn't have home internet when Half-Life 2 came out and it was my failed attempts to activate that game that caused my initial ire. Then I realised that it wasn't Steam's fault I didn't have a net connection but my own, so I stopped hating the platform. Now that I do have the internet I have come to appreciate how useful it can be.
I'm not even going to get into the 'what if they turn it off lolols' argument because you might as well ask what happens to my old C64 disk games now that you can't buy a 1541 drive in the shops, or what happens to my PC when we switch to beamed-through-the-air power or whatever. There will almost certainly come a point where I can't play some games - as is already the case for some of them. If so, I'll mourn them and move on - but that won't be for years yet, by which point I'll be playing The Sims 43 anyway.
And even if Valve did die tomorrow, I can always get the pirate versions secure in the knowledge that I did already pay once :D But to wish them dead just because you don't like or can't use their software is mean, petty and selfish, not to mention a little bit self-entitled.

It´s the first time i buy copies of steam games, so any of you is interested to sell me call of duty? if not its ok, i know some local merhants wo will sell me for 5.00 euros.
Again, i hate steam, and i will not have games whose 90% content belongs to steam, no if i am to buy a product i have the right to have acess to all its contents, and also the right to play it without net connection, some of you guys maybe rich and dumb, but i´m not.:)

You should read those EULA things you click past when you install games then, because you own Steam games just as much as you own anything else.

last time I checked I could use steam/play offline games when my isp was down.
