Probably they are waiting also for an answer from S.Russell so they can confirm Garrett as protagonist in the game.

I voted yes, but only due to the absence of an 'it depends' options. I would very much prefer to have Garrett as the sole main character, and I feel that it won't be a real Thief game if he isn't. Still, I'd be curious to see how they'd made the game, and I probably would have some fun playing it. Afterwards, I'd probably uninstall it though.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out the difference between what I called extreme reactions, indicative perhaps of emotional attachment, and this - absurd and uninformed definitive judgments, indicative of HURR DURR CHAENG IS B4D. To state that you wouldn't like this or that possibility, or even that you wouldn't buy it, that's one thing. But to stamp the entire game with a general purpose LOL FAIL on account of said change, when you know next to nothing about the rest of it, is simply ridiculous. If you have to, at least try and limit yourself to declaring it would be a failure
for you, you'll come off less presumptuous.

I think having Garrett in a major role rather then playing as Garrett would be a good idea. You should play as Garrett's successor rather then Garrett himself and you can even do jobs together as he is teaching you the skills of a master thief. The story itself could still revolve around Garrett but this way would give a fresh perspective on the Thief saga.

I really doubt that a character like Garrett would like to teach anyone.
It just doesn't look right.
I would say to EM just stick to T1 and T2 type of story-characters wich seems to be a "fail safe" choice for everyone.
