Do all of the Thief games work in Windows 7?

1 and 2 work fine for me. Check the sticky threads regarding fan made compatibility fixes. I have not yet gotten around to 3 yet.

I vaguely remember playing Thief 3 in Win 7 64-bit back when I first installed it. It's a little finicky, but it ran fine once you poked and prodded it a bit.
For reference, Deus Ex: Invisible War ran perfectly for the couple hours I played it. The only problem was it'd show the desktop for about 3 or 4 seconds before popping the loading screen up whenever you hit a load zone, but I don't remember that being the case with Thief.

I have Windows 7 x64, running TG, T2 and T3, and all of them work fine. You'll need ddfix, the dual core fix and other patches for T1 and 2 (and run the installer for T1 with Win98 compatibility mode), but then you should be fine.

The original games actually do not specifically require DDFix to run (at least with my specific hardware configuration), though obviously there's no reason not to install it. The dual core fix is, of course, mandatory on systems with more than one processor — unless you particularly enjoy the miraculous stuttering :)
It's fairly remarkable that the original games do work out of the box, though. A testament to the portability of the code, I suppose.

Sir, can you please tell me exactly what to do to run Thief Gold on Windows 7? I was told to download the Taffer patch, but it's only for Thief 2 and doesn't recognize the directory. I installed Thief Gold according to the directions in the FAQ but it still won't work - The Eidos intro freezes but I can hear the game playing in the background. I also read that I need two other patches so I googled them and ended up with a screen full of patches that didn't match the title of the patch I need. Very confused, very new here. Any help is appreciated.

Is that with or without ddfix? You should be able to get to the menu without any patches applied.
