There is a blackjack on all difficulty levels, but it isn't in the same place on each, iirc. Embarrassingly, since I tested this, I can't remember where it is on Easy. If it's not in the weapons shop, it could be in the jail or on one of the thieves. Sorry, just can't remember. Perhaps someone will come along who does.

I think I was playing on Easy and it was the chair leg in the jail cell.

I can't seem to enter the Ramirez mansion. As soon as I open the front doors and step inside, I freeze. I also tried entering through an upstairs secret door in the small building to the left of the main entrance. Same thing. I can turn and look around, but movement is impossible.
Yes, I'm wearing the disguise.

As I recall, as soon as you enter the mansion, there begins a scripted sequence, when you freeze, you need to wait 1-2 mins until it ends. Then you can continue. I have entered also through the front door.
It is also mentioned in the first post under Technical notes.
Technical Notes:
There is a point of time in the game when the player will be frozen to watch a scene.
A trap called: TrapFreezePlayer. Don't be alarmed. It is part of the game. Momentarily near the end of the scene, some weapons will pop up in inventory. Do not raise them, as this will alert the ai around you!
Just put them back in inventory and you will be fine.

That explains things. I got too impatient and started rattling on the keyboard. I'll return and try it again.
BTW, why do some guards let you pass and others will not when wearing the "disguise"? All of the town guards will attack you on sight, which kind of takes away from its purpose.

Well, I stayed frozen in place for a full minute or more. Nothing happened. Finally, I got the OBJECTIVE COMPLETE, and was able to get on with it.
