Never cared much for The Haunted Cathedral levels, or Down in the Bonehoard. They took me daysto complete because i couldn't get over all the tension in them. Didn't like how in Thief by the third level you will battling hordes of zombies. Metal Age has a far better difficulty curve imo.
Also hating Masks at the moment. Recycling a level right after it?! Gah.

Casing the Joint is my least favorite. :eww:
It was pretty irritating for me, but the Library sub plot saved it for me.

I really don't like lost city since it's really hard to figure it out
Really.
Then clearly you have never played any of the classic rpgs and adventue games that influenced this title, which must mean you are in the 25 and under set.
My friend, why must you dawdle so when there are countless fantastical journeys to behold. Go back and play a few Ultimas at least. The first Thief was a very cleverly disguised thinking mans adventure. Understanding The Lost City is difficult for even skilled players. Yet it is for a reason! As soon as the map to Lost City finally clicks that first time, the sense of reward is something nonexistent in todays gaming market. Dark Project is simply packed with these little "features" from start to finish. If anyone out there could duplicate these things, we would then have a Thief III on our hands. Forget Thief IV, we still need III.

Worst mission hmmm. Something in thief 2 probably. There is one map where you are running in a big werehouse (perhaps it shipping & cargo?). That one was boring. Thiefs guild in GOLD was extremly boring too.
Its a bit interesting to read peoples opinions on what is fun and whats not. Seems like there are 2 kind. Those that prefer sneaking into human buildings and dealing with guards and stuff. And some who prefer the scaryness of undead, desolated place and allt that stuff. I'm one of those who enjoy the undead maps =).

TDP/Gold - The two I enjoyed the least were probably "Thieves' Guild" (seems to be much-hated on TTLG) and "The Haunted Cathedral". Both missions were good on the first couple of playthroughs, but from then on I dreaded playing them.
TMA - Definitely "Shipping and Receiving"...an exercise in tedium. An honorable mention should go to "Kidnap" for making me chase Cavador ALL OVER the damn place!
TDS - "Sunken Citadel" for being a very typical, generic Thief mission.

and for being a blatant, unimaginative lost city rip-off.

I've been replaying TMA this summer and remembered correctly: Kidnap was a bit annoying as a mission. No interesting subplots, no significant secret areas, just skulking in some corner waiting for Cadavor to walk by.
Casing the Joint seemed a bit dull too, but it is kinda interesting to return to the place in Masks. I seem to remember that Soulforge was really, really long and somewhat tedious, but I'm willing to give it another (well, 3rd. :D ) shot.
Also I didn't really fancy Thieves' and Mages' Guild missions in TG, too big, long and confusing for my taste. On the other hand the 3rd added mission, Song of the Caverns, is one of my favourite missions, mainly because of the great beginning.
In TDS I didn't like St. Edgar's that much. Also, I hated the Cradle but not because it's a bad mission. :cheeky:
Having said that, all Thief missions are at least average plus IMHO. It's really weird, how I still get immersed completely when playing an 8 year old game! Really few other games I've played have had the same immersion factor, Morrowind comes to mind first.
