Half daemon child sired by what amounted to a dissident Keeper? Hmmm... Hell, if thats all Viktoria wanted, I'd gladly given it to her... Heh heh heh... :ebil:
Hmmm... Mayhaps the Trickster was like Diablo in the first game, he needed an innocent, living host to attach himself to so he could exercise his full power. Of course, children are generally the targets in evil rituals, blood of an innocent seems to be very powerful.

I'm still young enough to remember some of my childhood, and I honestly don't know, where people have got that silly notion of children being innocent from. :sly:

Well, not children, more along the line of infants. (Thank you Ultima VII)

And clearly, if Constantine needed an innocent being, he'd have looked for the most desperate master thief the City has to offer :p

Yeah, the intro movie to T1 kinda points out that Garrett was rotten from the start. No luck there.
My worst mission is now my favorite. I love bonehoard, and all "undead invasion" type maps, because of the scare and the forced sneaking. In human maps I just don't have the self control to not go all Rambo on them. Poor buggers never stand a chance between my blackjack and a quick trip to the nearest fireplace.:ebil:
My currently most hated mission is the Karath-Din map in T2. Confusing, lotsa people and very few reliable shadows. Dislikey!

Anyone wants to lay his rotten body to rest? Please, follow me to that room… FIRE!
Dear Haunt, I'd like to meet you in that magnificent Hall of Statues… KABOOM!!!

Can't get enough of these topics. :D
Liked the feeling of the Lost city, abandoned and mystic - so wouldn't put it as a bad mission.
Soulforge on the other hand seemed 'un-thiefy' and just boring with all the mechanics and devices. Maw of Chaos and Escape! is another example of 'un-thiefy' missions. Undeads are cool, but bugbeasts and whatnot seem to remove the sneaky feeling - like someone said, i want to trick humans not beasts.
Life of the Party still remains the best Thief mission for me, lots of hiding places lots of places to loot and an awesome adventure in the city at night.
Thieves guild was also an amazing mission, whats better than go stealing from other thieves? To prove who is number one. :sly:
Bank is also very similar to Life of the Party in the feeling, loved when they patched it so you could enter the bank from the roof.
Masks also a classic thief scenario, break in and get some precious masks while avoiding the clever mechanics that guard them.
Markhams isle was also very nicely done, with the pirating theme.
Also liked both Bonehoard and Cragscleft - the latter being more exciting, love the Hammers as villians.
All in all, best missions.. :thumb:
Life of the Party
First Citybank
Thieves guild
..and the worst. :bored:
Soulforge
Maw of Chaos
Escape!

I'm rising the dead. Is it bad?
My favourite missions:
1. - Casing the Joint and Masks.
2. - Down in the Bonehoard and The Sword.
3. - The rest. :D
Although actually it was really hard to decide that.
On topic, i felt like the worst mission was... I guess it actually goes for Kidnap. Didn't like the mechanists there, didn't like that new tileset. Didn't like the 2 guardians of Cavador... Had to waste 2 gas arrows for the bastards!
I don't see what was so bad with Soulforge. It was okay. I just didn't really like the technology in such high doses, but the plan to pwn the poor bastard with his own stuff was genius. :)

I think it's the worst mission. There were still some great conversations though that made me laugh, like the one about the cat in the bag! :) "He had to jump in the river just to get the damn thing off!"

Down in the Bonehoard!!! Hands down! I suppose the Thief creators felt they had to cater, but I've never been able to understand how zombies had anything to do with Thief. It's no secret that I detest zombies, haunts, and any of those creepy bastards, but Bonehoard very nearly ruined the game for me. Hell, if I wanted undead I can play Resident Evil! To me it seemed gratuitous and totally out of place in the Thief universe. I know there are players who absolutely love doing battle with the undead, but I'm not one of them.
As much as the Cradle scared the living crap outta me, it seemed to tie in with the plot of TDS, whereas the Bonehoard zombies seemed like an afterthought. A bid by the Thief authors to make sure the game appealed to a broader range of players.
I remember that when I realized what travelling through the Bonehoard entailed I quit the game immediately and didn't continue with it for a couple days. And I resumed playing the game only because the previous missions already had me hooked.
You can only imagine my dismay when I got to the Haunted Cathedral. :(
