Would things be really bad if Gamall destroyed the last city-sized glith and became immortal ?
All she wanted was to survive, to trick death, not some crazy "fear me as the pagan god" or "destroy all organic things - ALL !".
She would certainly kill Garrett and the Keepers just for revenge. But apart from that I don´t think she would want to go on a nihilist spree to destroy everything. Just kill some young girl sometime to keep herself young.
So yeah, a terrible sick monster out there but not as terrible as a pagan god or a potential mass murderer with speech problems.

Gamall was power hungry and traitorous before she even became a monster. She betrayed and killed the keepers who helped her find the glyph of transmutation (IIRC). After many years of artificially prolonged life, I believe she is a complete sociopath, since she had to violently kill many people over a long time. Remember that the reports of her attacks describe the victims with "bloody work done upon them," even to the extent of removing their skin.
I agree that she probably wouldn't kill everyone, just all those who could possibly pose a threat: All the keepers, Garrett, probably the Hammers and maybe the Pagans. Along with anyone who gets in her way while she does this. Then she still has to prey upon defenseless innocents in order to live longer. Add to the fact that she often takes children and you can see that she is quite evil.
For some people, (myself included,) its very easy to identify with the villain of a story over the hero. However, you have to keep in mind that they are the bad guy for a reason. :thumb:

I'd have to say "YES!"

In the game, we see Gamall take at least one person to steal their life and their place in the world. She does this by viciously skinning them alive and binding their souls with glyph magic. While she might not be as threatening to the city at large as, say, Karras, she is equally (if not more) evil. Karras had a grudge against life because it was not sufficiently perfect for a god as apparently technology-driven as the Builder. But at the same time, while carrying out his plan, he didn't go around indiscriminately killing people (as Gamall and Orland do), and his Mechanists did provide a number of services to the city. The Trickster wanted to limit the influence of civilization and return humans closer to nature. While his goal would indeed have killed a large number of people, and his methods of doing this were cruel, he is (in my mind) the least evil of the villains. He didn't
rip out Garrett's eye
because he was the big bad; he did it because he needed the power of the Eye to complete his ritual. He didn't kill Garrett when it was over.
Gamall is the one villain who repeatedly kills people in horrific ways for simple personal gain. That places her in the "most evil" in my mind. So yes, it would be THAT bad.
Also, think about it - with Garrett winning, he's (seemingly) the only Keeper left. There is no Glyph magic for the former Keepers to use. And Garrett, while a thief, has defended the city against horrible threats
three times despite injuries and permanent maiming. If Gamall had won, Garrett would be dead, and there would be
nothing to stand in her way from taking the life/soul/appearance of anyone she wanted. If Gamall had won, the glyph magic would still exist, and the Keepers have already proven themselves to be completely uncaring about the lives (or deaths) of the average person in the city, so long as enough people continue with their lives to support them.

Silly question. If Gamall wins, YOU lose the game. Few are masachist enough to play a game they are guaranteed to lose. :p

I also believe she was the most "evil" of the villains. Or, for people that don´t like the word evil, the most selfish.
But regardless of their morality I wanted to know who would do the most damage to the City.
So Karras is on top easily. The City barely escaped from mass genocyde.
Then comes Gamall. Turning into a godlike being could make her even more monstrous and arrogant. I don´t see her killing everyone but I see her making life a pain for everyone - thus she would bring the Dark Age if she won.
Lastly Trickster. He didn´t want to harm the citizens, just convert then to worship him out of fear.
I wish they could flesh out more about Gamall´s intentions.

Gamall was pretty stereotypical, being a sort of selfish person bad guy. At least Karras was as insane as a purple pair of pyjamas and Constantine was as cool as a cucumber

This makes me wonder: Who would win in a fight between Gamall and the Trickster? inconspicuous thread hijack!

That´s hard to tell.
They both have two modes... Powerfull and "Invincible".
Powerfull are the modes we meet when they are trying to get more power.
Invincibles are the modes they could achieve if they succeeded their tasks: Trikster completing the ritual / Gamall destroying the final glyth.
Since we only have a basic idea of their limits in powerfull modes let´s stick with it.
So Pre-ritual Trickster could harm Gamall without touching her. Gamall Pre-Dark Age can regenerate by turning invisible. Also the Trickster can take damage from huh... Fake-Eye-traps. If Gamall´s fireball is made of the same sort of damaging energy then it would be a hard fight.
Basically it would be down to: Can Gamall toss enouth fireballs before Trickster´s damaging magic kills her ?
