LOL. 1/2 an hour with Fallout 3 is like opening a beer and then throwing it in the trash without so much as even bothering to take a small swig.
Scott Weiland on 22/4/2010 at 21:28
Well not literally half an hour, it was more like 4+ hours, but yes, I'm a hater, F3 is one of the dullest and most boring and annoying games I ever tried. It's all grey and enemies have no AI and the speech skill is pointless and the voice acting is bad etc etc.

Geez Eva & dethy, do you guys hear yourselves? Are you aware of how you twist facts to match your own extreme views?
I mostly think in shades of grey - and anywhere in between the extreme ends of the full spectrum, thanks. So I'm presuming that you were the asleep the many times that I've accused others for having absolutist views?

And how you pick on the smallest details if people's posts to try to disqualify the bigger point they're making?
The Fallout 3 vanilla ending was shit and had some rubbish design choices, no one is disputing. But having a whinge because if have to pay for the new ending? If Broken Steel only addressed that and had bugger additional content, I'd be pissed off if that cost $10 USD, but that's far from being the case.

It's like everything is either totally awesome or totally shit for you guys. And the possibility that a game you deemed totally shit doing at least
something well or a game your think is totally awesome doing
something bad is unthinkable. I love FO3 to pieces but the ending wasn't good, come on!
Here's supreme proof that you don't anything about me, nor ever paid any real attention to what I've said. (

http://www.ttlg.com/FORUMs/showthread.php?t=125253&p=1967090&viewfull=1#post1967090) time again I've said on this forum that I often recognise faults in a lot of games, but still appreciate their successes regardless.
In fact I recall that I've criticised Fallout 3's piss poor animation work on (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123569&p=1787773&viewfull=1#post1787773) plenty of occasions, ditto for Bethsoft's habit of(
http://www.ttlg.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=125387&p=1933252&viewfull=1#post1933252) recycling the same half-dozen voice actors for dozens of NPCs, after having blown their budget on a celebrity actor who's barely in the game.

And the ending being improved by a DLC that you have to pay for is the kind of justification you wouldn't stand for if it were any other game.
Okay, can you give me any specific examples?
P.S. Borderlands: Mad Moxxi's Underdome and Dragon Age: Warden's Keep aren't examples for this argument by any means.

I'm sorry to continue the F3 offtopic, I couldn't resist.. My main problem with F3 was this:
- Who are you?
- What are you doing here?
I truly believe that all people who call F3 great are masochists who are willing to use the same pointless dialogue lines with every encountered NPC over and over and over. Also the infamous Bethesda character animation 'skills' didn't help me to tolerate this game for more than a half an hour..
I cut my teeth on Ultima games. 'Name', 'job', 'bye' were the three words that have burned into my brain and onto my retinas. Honestly, if you thought the questions in F3 were repetitive you've had it easy.
But welcome to TTLG!

Lemme guess, you're a JRPG kiddie?

hah yes, BUT I kinda had the same problem. There's a world out there full of radioactive... uh, scorpions, and they need my help! But why do I give a fuck? I mean, other than finding out what happens when you put on future biffs jacket and smack some kind of anthropomorphic horseshoe crab in the face with a plank of wood. (SOME WOULD SAY THAT IS ENOUGH). Good job on massive world etc (Seriously good job) but not good job on making it sound like you know what humans act like.

Why the fuck does every thread these days turn into a Fallout 3 thread?
EvaUnit02 on 23/4/2010 at 06:59
Why do think? Produce some new info that about Xcom 2010 that we could discuss instead.
It's being developed in Canberra. Apparently 2K Australia was absorbed by 2K Marin and renamed accordingly. Honestly WTF, why adopt the name of a city in Massachusetts if your studio is on the other side of the globe in Aussie?

To irritate you since you're a closet NMA member.
