* Random notes after reading the previous post
Man theres alot of Stargate SG1 injokes with the agent names. Agent Carter, Agent Jonas..... Next up there'll be an Agent O'Neil or Teal'C.
I hate the idea of having to hunt for intel and elerium. In the previous XCOM games you sent your squad to a place, killed some aliens / destroyed alien vehicles and bases, then sent in your recovery squad to ship all recoverable stuff for research. Not having to run around picking up all the collectables like in Mario 64 or somethin. Grr.
The name Blobatov sounds really gay. Though I remember thinking the same of the mini nuke launchers in Fallout 3 prior to the game coming out.
OH NO their adding in the photo taking to get research points aspect of Bioshock. For fucks sake seriously. It was fine and all in Bioshock as you didn't have a base full of scientists researching better technology for you, but in XCOM no fucking way.
It sounds like a very non-unique experience type game compared to the previous XCOM's. By this I mean that if you played through the game today, then played through the whole game again you`d have played through the same scripted levels, rather than the randomly generated missions that we all got used to playing in the previous games.
I was optimistic on the game, but after reading that post thats all gone out the window. Man why make a game thats basically Bioshock on land with a squad. Meh.

Perhaps because that's what's popular? Games don't get made to pander to every retarded "oldskool" kid who puts their IQ in their username, you know. They get made to make money. Sometimes, if we're lucky, the people making the game really love their work and aren't constrained by the publisher and turns out to be a good game (or at least passable.)
Seriously, who the fuck are you again?

yawn. well, nothing surprising sofar. not even squad controls ? and I doubt that many missions will go "cold" since they will have to spend so much time creating the NOT randomly generated locations. will there be at least random item locations or just a big trigger map for maximum dramatic effect. xcom was so good because the number of systems they had created the tension, the drama each mission anew and different. not some director using triggers.
