Neh... I should probably be bothered that the game's title resembles a title of a game I remember people liking way back ago, but I still think it looks cool. It's a neat looking shooter from some guys who made a fun shooter with a cool story that I enjoyed. I'll be keeping my eye on it.

That is the worst trailer I've seen in a very, very long time. I was completely bored of the game before the 1 minute mark of the trailer was up. Doesn't bode well. It's like Land-Bioshock made by people whose only experience of aliens was one episode of the X-files.

And my only exposure to XCOM before this was when I played the demo of it in the mid-90s and thought it was a bit like Jagged Alliance but not as much fun. Or as cool.
Anyway, I like this trailer. The shooting looks solid and the gameworld looks well thought-out.

That game looks like utter crap, and I've never played X-COM and don't care about that side of things. I'm just so god damned tired of every game being a different tileset for the same shooty shoot shoot shooter. "Hey, wouldn't this game make a great movie? Well why not perform the very same gameplay you've rehearsed in a hundred other shooters in this cool new setting!"
