That parody is wickedly good, but that's pretty much the exception here. I also liked Ben's reaction to it: 'could that person forward his name and address to The Escapist so that I can burn his house down.' Heh. The world needs more peeved Englishmen.*
There's still a certain 'je ne sais quoi' missing without Yahtzee IMO, like Subjective Effect mentioned earlier.
*Actually, on second thought, perhaps not. :D

I can follow Yahtzee just fine but I have trouble following this parody guy for some reason. I'm not a native English speaker btw.

I haven't played the first game so this one seemed very weird and obscure at the beginning, thanks to poor presentation. Seemed barely playable too, bad graphics and optimization contributed to that.
Now I've finished the 2nd chapter (Hotel), and I start to seriously like the game. It may be badly polished, but this game is really creepy, and that's a big rarity in this gen. Interesting and hard too (on Hard).

Yeah, PS3 received a shithouse port of this game.

The story... it's terrible. Awful. Fucking blah. The first half's worth a play, but once you get to the end that disc is one expensive frisbee. You should've started with Condemned, even the PC version with its attendant lighting/sound issues* is a better game.
*On certain PC configurations, like dethtoll's for instance

I LOVE CONDEMNED 2. I am playing it right now, along side of Deus Ex: Invisible War. I was tickled pink to finally play a character that is drunker than me! Srsly though, visceral. That is the word that comes to mind. Brutal is another. I was actually scared shitless during several sections (I am about 1/2 through the game). Creeping through these desolate, left-to-rot, urban locales whilst flipping your flashlight past the corroded walls and furniture, seeing a hint of a humanoid shadow slip past...WHOO!
And shame about the story towards the end. I haven't reached that part yet, and so far the story is actually decent. Sucks it falls apart

Geez, I started reading back on this thread and my god it was stupid. Almost as bad as Condemned 2 itself.

Maybe I should feel ashamed? Except this is the only post I've actually made in the thread, aside from starting it.

anyone who creates a thread specifically to discuss a yahtzee "review" has to do time out in the corner

Just finished this. Unlike most, I actually wasn't bothered by the ending. Sure, it got a little wild, but what horror game doesn't? It wasn't any more out of place than the enemies in Alan Wake/Silent Hill. 4/5
