Yet again, Eve online. - by The Alchemist

So one of my best friends was asking me for advice on what mmo to play, I gave him a few names to check out, one being Eve online. Well he loved it, and pestered me to get online and help him out a bit, and in doing so I rekindled my own interest in the game. I had pretty much given up on mmo's, I dont have the time to sit there for hours and grind to level, and even if I did have the time god why would I want to. Product of working on a computer all day, you dont want use it much when you get home. But the skill system of Eve, which I used to hate (go figure), allows me to play the game when I want and how I want and not worry about my character falling behind. So now that I'm getting back into it (starting from scratch, with a gallente jin-mei) I was just wondering how many TTLG'ers still play the game, if any. It seems to have gone a long way, 30k people online at once now, which is quite staggering. I'm excited about the new client we're getting with DirectX 10, too.
Anywho, if you still play post here or drop me a line on "Toshiro Jin" (so sue me, the new blood lines are asian). Also, I'd like to make my way into a big corp, one that takes active part in the large scale alliance wars that go on in lowsec. I'm currently too noob to do so, but once I have a properly fitted cruiser or battlecruiser I'd like to join the fray, and I've heard you need a good history or a recommendation (hint hint). So if any of you are part of one of these corps let me know maybe you can help me get in :p.

Funnily enough I started playing the trial again a few days ago. I'll likely get bored with the game in about a week just like the last time, but it's a fun ride. :)
'Rikka Lem' here.

I think they want dedicated pilots, just play and if you enjoy Eve you'll find opportunities to be part of a large corp.

I was in the beta way back when, but discovering that the interface was entirely mousedriven killed alot of my enthauism in the game. I was hoping I'd be able to control my ships directly with a joystick, kinda like an MMO X3. If I could've, I would have had a subscription the day it went live, and would still be playing today.
But I've had a few years to get over my disappointment, and what I did see of the game did seem fairly interesting. I'll give it another go if the free trial is still going on.

I've been fascinated by the concept ever since it started; I recently downloaded the client but haven't tried it out yet, I'll sign up for the 14-day free thing when I can.

I keep meaning to head back to it :erg: I'm in the British Space Corporation, if they haven't kicked me out for inactivity.

...3 years of experience points? DearGOD... What's the maximum amount you can have, anyway?
[edit] Screw experience points, show us your ship!
