Edit: Oh god photobucket resized my images. How gay. They aren't over 100kb a piece, I guess they just dont like large images. Looking for better image host itt.
ImageShack. 1.5MB limit on filesize, no limit on the number of files you stick up there (although they will nix the image for a certain period if it eats up too much bandwidth). Pretty much same content limitations as Photobucket.
The only problem is that you need to install the IE bar to make it useful. The HTML upload interface times out far, far, FAR too often (even when the upload via its bar breaks it at least allows retries), and you cannot upload multiple images at once without a paid subscription.

BTW it seems they revised the new character creation system to give you about a months worth of skills (near 1m).
Edit: Infact, any character that has under 800k sp will recieve 800k sp. So check it out, some of your skills might have been bumped up a bit. =]

And as my char was already created prior the patch, but only had 440k points, they boosted most of my current skills to lvl4, so that my char got up to 830k points. :D

My character's name is Tre Renzan. I'm a Minmatar Militarist, specializing in spec ops, and I can't complete the damn tutorial because I can't find any pirate automatons at any of the deadspaces.
I'd skip it, but considering my stark noobness, that probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Strangely enough, I created a minmatar char today just to check out how many skills you get for those 800k points. Then I went to the training complexes but didn't find any training rats either, and those drop the key for the acceleration gate, so without them you can't advance further. I tried going to all the complexes in the system, but to no avail.
I didn't have problems with my gallente char 3 weeks ago, neither with my other gallente trial char a couple of months ago, so I guess the minmatar training is buggy. Try to make an in-game appeal and see if any of the GMs answer you.

You're right I did a mission or two and couldnt find any rats. It was odd.
Anywho, I'll probably be on Zieon, lets get some gangs going and hunt some rats. =]

I went and talked to a GM, who told me that it was a known problem and to do something else in the meantime til they fix it. So I just drifted between deadspaces for about 45 minutes til I got lucky and stumbled upon a few pirate bots.
So now I'm near the end of the tutorial, I'm in the market for a nice cheap ship, and I'm ready to begin the game in earnest.

Ok, this thread amongst other things has made me interested again so I'm downloading the client.
Last time I did a trial I played for an hour and a half before getting bored. I know its the shit, its exactly my kind of game...but I just couldnt be bothered playing it. Until now. If all goes well I may even dump Planetside
So, TTLG corp up yet or what?
The Alchemist on 6/12/2006 at 02:11
Nope, but we all hang out in ttlgkru.

I got angry when something like 3 of my Destroyers blew up, all of my own doing. The game is a very good blend of fun gameplay and unforgiving enough mechanics you actually learn something. It still has its flaws though. I went from the starter ship, to the next cheapest one(so bad at warping..) to the best frigate to a destroyer. Good missions to make money on are those where you can sell look back, like combat missions. I might come back to it one day, like I said there's real things to be learned from the game.
The pirate automatons is a known thing apparently, I got them right away. It's not even close to the end of the tutorial I don't think, the tutorial is huge. You need to wait for them to respawn I think.
