Things with the drake are going great. It's amazing how strong of a ship it is. I have a very good amount of skills in armor tanking and my gallente ships were outfitted with expensive faction armor rep modules and none of them have come close to the effectiveness of my low-low-low skill level passive shield tank on this thing. Not to mention the raw dps itself. And god, missiles are simply so much fun. I hardly worry about range, although my big missiles damage on small frigates is sometimes cut to thirds, which is alright because the damage is still sufficient to kill them in a few volleys. There's a skill that minimizes the damage lost due to size and transversal speed so I'll get working on that asap. Loving this caldari beast, I'm in no hurry to move onto a raven although I will eventually, when I have better shield skills as an active faction shield tank is ungodly, not to mention the raven does about twice the dps of the drake.

All the Tech II gear in the universe you can cram onto an assault frigate couldn't save me, and about 40 million ISK worth of gear went pop.

Unfortunately for him, he decided to hang around in the belt whilst his criminal flag cooled down, and I'd kept calm and bookmarked the spot before I got ejected into my pod. This being my 'home' system, very shortly my Typhoon warped back in on top of him and quickly made mincemeat of his damaged ship whilst he was still poking around in the wreck of the wolf.

Revenge really is a dish best served cold :cool:

Ulu have you seen those crazy faction MWD speed tanked Typhoons? I dunno how effective they are overall but shit orbiting someone at 2-4km/s just out of web/nos range is pretty damn cool.

(and for the rest of you) It's a good pvp vid in general and isn't in fast forward like most pvp vids so if you want to see what pvp looks like in Eve give it a look.

(http://d01.megashares.com/?d01=c5639af) Hammerhead Drone Closeup (19mb) - the drones are small AI ships (more like simple flying guns) that all the races have on their disposal, but the Gallente excel at using them. Check the size of the sentry gun at the beginning compared to the drone. And it's not that big a sentry gun, mind you.

The artillery cannons on the other hand do make a big bang, but I can't use them so I can't make a video with them.
