Could people just stop dying for a minute please? :( I can only remember Rickman from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Die Hard, and Galaxy Quest, but I know that he was a very popular and well-respected actor. Another cancer victim dead at 69, it's very sad. What a shit disease.

This guy first came to my attention in Robin Hood. Memorable actor. I liked him.

My favorite role of his was in Ang Lee's excellent adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. He played the melancholy, love-lorn Colonel Brandon, and he was DEVASTATING. What an incredible actor. In the Potter series he even managed to make greasy evil sexy as hell. RIP :(
