My old joystick would not work with XP. So... I finally made the jump for a new one. I went to the local CompUSA and found a suitable replacement.
On the way out I spied a copy (the only one) of the Prima for Thief: Deadly Shadows. The listed cost was more than I really wanted to pay, and I don't really need it, but, "What the hell, I'll add it to my Thief collection".
So... at checkout it cost me $0.02 US, that's two cents. To say the least I did not argue about the price.
That amounted to a $14.00 discount on the joystick. :D

two cents? Wow, incredibly cheap. I wish all Primas could be like that!

A funny thing about Prima guides. On Amazon they were selling the Arcanum strategy guide for an excessive amount. It would have been cheaper to buy the downloadable PDF version. I suspect it might have been due to the number of pages though.

I don't see a problem in playing thief with a joystick. At the begining it can be a nightmare, but then you get used to. I started with TDS and then played T2X as well. I think it is worth to give the joystick a chance.
