...A romance would "complicate" Garrett's life. She would be in danger from his enemies...he could be subject to ransome, blackmail, framing and theft...all of the things he does to "his" victims could be turned against him. It's safer, easier and smarter to be alone. "The essence of balance is to be detached"...The writers for thief could surprise us with a love story but to do it well... might take up the whole game. I wouldn't mind if they did a good story but the marketing people at LGS/Edios would have to be convinced. I'll say this...you Lady Thieves are worth it!...

I think Garrett's best possible shot at a romantic relationship would be with a lady thief who's just as outcast and cynical as he is. Of course, that would be such a cliche that I don't ever, ever, ever, ever think it should ever happen.

I don't know enough about writing romance into stories, but I haven't seen many stories where a little sexual tension didn't spruce things up a bit.
