General rules for the T2 polls: Demos, very short missions, foreign languages and OM remakes are only included if the space allows it. Same goes for missions that already appeared in one of the T1/TG polls. Big missions with 5 or more missions to play are excluded. There will be a separate poll for them.

Where is T2X: Shadows of Metal Age? It's my favorite FM of 2005. It didn't appear in previous poll, so I thought it will show now. But no. Looks like you completely forgot about one of the most influential mission of all time.

Samantha is going to run a separate poll for the campaigns later, she felt that as some of the campaigns are just so good they would dominate these polls giving the single missions little chance of glory.
PS. If anyone votes for Haddur I'll make it my personnel mission to track you down and get you barred from this forum. :ebil:

But wait, Haddur is also campaign and it's in this poll. So that can't be a reason.
Not just that, in previous poll there was All Torc and that's also a campaign. Maybe she doesn't know which mission is campaign and which isn't.

It is Samantha's reason, she explained in at least one other thread. Don't feel like finding it now, but it made sense. She's got a Plan, that's all I know.

Samantha has only been around for a couple of years, she can't possibly be expected to know the full details of every mission/campaign or even have played everything and as Haddur is titled Haddur Series: Part 1 she probably assumed it was a single mission and not a 7 mission campaign.
But your right it is a campaign and should have been left out of this poll.

Plan. Modern campaigns will naturally dominate over old campaigns.

I wouldn't say that's a problem with her plan, it's just the way it is with everything.
Can you truly compare older Hollywood films with modern films before the advent of CGI? Some would argue they were better in the old days.
How about endless comparison lists the best football players ever, formula 1 drivers, tennis players etc.
Everything evolves usually for the better, and with Thief we had a small little patch given to us a few years ago that has revolutionised mission building both in size and scope. Doesn't mean you can't have a fun competition to see which FM is the most highly rated of all time, even if the bias is geared towards newer missions

It´s as stated in my first comment I post on every poll "Big missions with 5 or more missions to play are excluded. There will be a separate poll for them." So you are actually right, since haddur has 7 missions (or rather 6 since the first is an intro), it should not have been included in this one. My decision to still keep it here and not in the campaign poll, was simply because I checked the walkthrough and lootlist and found it to be too small to include it in the big poll. Maybe the decision was wrong, but there are just way too many missions and it is not possible for me to play through all of them. So it will always happen that there will be some mistakes or deviations in the polls.
Just enjoy the polls and wait till it´s T2X turn, there´s no way I´d forget about an important campaign like T2X.

I would prefer campaigns to be included in these yearly polls, because:
1) it shows what was achieved in old years.
2) there isn't that many campaigns created every year.
3) these are multi choice polls, so people will not entirely focus just on campaigns. Even in a list of my favorite missions there is only 5 campaigns.
