I think it's interesting how these missions really lean into the psychological and literal isolation theme; The Builders Paradise in particular really struck me with the whole dead, empty world with hateful machines left running inside the only "normal" area; Hilberts approaches it from the liminality and dissonance of this "welcoming" but alien building where people are meant to stay and have fun; Violent End has some powerfully uncomfortable areas where you explore the hidden rooms where people spent years alone ruminating about their secrets while mere feet away from normal household life and people who will never understand what they're afraid of and Into The Odd is like a gauntlet of—actually this will become too long so I will just say that the moment when you realize that all those people were dummies made me almost despair because of the cruelty of clawing through these areas underground, thinking that they were finally normal Thief things that you can blackjack and return to normality, but no. Great year all around.

So many great missions from this year, Feast of Pilgrims, Heist at Hilbert's Highrise Hotel, Malazar's Inscrutable Tower, The Violent End of Duncan Malveine, all amazing. Unfortunately, I think the only fan mission I could never get to work is The Builder's Paradise. There are some good, maybe a bit underrated ones as well like Fierce Competition, My Favorite Year, Where the Unknown Lurks, Secrets of the Old City. But to me nothing compares to Into the Odd. My favourite Thief mission of all time, it's just incredible.

Interesting to see, that into the odd beat feast of pilgrims, even though feast of pilgrims was the contest winner back then. But I can´t remember if into the odd was second place or not.
Glad to see that one of the two missions from Nicked made it into the top three, well deserved!
