Gameplay, story and optic are definitely not the only criteria for me. To read that as a woman is just disturbing. And it would be great if authors could hold back their hate against women considering that we have quite a lot of female members in this community.

I would understand the frustration if the author posted that article as his opinion, that would be shitty. But as a readable in a mission that a character in the mission has, I don't get why that is a problem. Every film or book or any other piece of art that has bad guys in them would then be problematic. One thing is if it's glorifyng that kind of thinking but simply having that kind of character in a story is just that, a character in the story, doesn't mean it reflects the author's opinion.

It's really sad to see that most of you are reacting to my critics with jokes, downplaying my thoughts or straight up insults.
I don't know why you are all so sure, that this was just a joke. You say that if I don't know the author I can only asume that he meant that serious. But as long as you don't know him either, you calling this a joke is also just an assumption. But for some reason your assumption is right and mine is wrong.
If your youngest daughter could laugh about that lordhern, I assume she is still quite young and didn't had that much experiences with men. I can only recommend you to teach her, that most men, who do this kind of "jokes" are not really joking, but are actually thinking that women are less worth then men. I never met a man wo respects women and is aware of their life difficulties caused by men who even thought of making such a "joke".
And that you downwinder are reacting like this is no surprise. You showed on many occasions that you have no sense for what is appropriate and a lot of your posts are really irreverent. That you insult me for criticizing this kind of thinking a lot of men have even though you know that this mindset is the cause for crimes committed against me is just another low point.
But since barely anyone of you shows the slightest empathy I don't see any sense in going on with this discussion.

I have to admit I have no idea what that "Karen" thing even means..
But I do agree with jonfeldt and share his/her opinion. If the author said sth. like "this is my opinion about women!", then I´d understand it. Everything else is just your assumption and down-talking an amazing mission based on personal experience that has nothing to do with it.
I wonder, what do you say about fictional work that include murder, discrimination against minorities, slavery? Good examples: Lord of the rings. Harry Potter.
Do you watch and read the stuff and everytime you think "oh my gawd! This guy must have killed several people already!!" or "oh my! this guy is a total bully!"
You have a personal feeling but to bring your personal feeling against another person and criticise their amazing work even though you have no idea what his/her opinion is, is just low-minded aswell. As a matter of fact, you dont even know if the author is a woman or a man. Others here in the forum know, but you don´t. Keep that in mind.

i remember that one fan mission where the guy was having an affair with a burrick, but that did not get the same traction as the good wife book
to me everyone is a human, i don't look at people based on gender, i know you over reacted and now you are tripling down, and only making yourself look worse, but of course since you leaving pretty much shows your flop your hand of cards and have a 2,3,4,5,7 all different suits= junk hand and everyone else is packing a royal flush with the lucky dice
but the great thing about the internet you can recreate who you are, when you land in your next area
