Let me spice up my Thank You post with a little question:
Can anyone tell me how to get the mobile phone login to work? The help tells me to go to (
http://gmail.com) or (
https://www.google.com/a/trioptimum.com) or use the GMail application that can be downloaded at (
http://www.gmail.com/app), but I cannot manage to log in.
I'm told to enter my user name without the
@gmail.com, but neither
spamtrap nor
spamtrap@trioptimum.com works and I can't think of anything else. I don't think I'm screwing up my password either. ("spamtrap", of course, isn't my actual user name, but I thought posting my email address here would be unwise.)
Can anyone tell me how I have to log in?
Thanks
OJ

Is there a server setting? I wonder if it's similar to the POP3 config. I've actually not tried the cell phone bit.

No, there's just username and password on all three login screens.
I tried it similar to the POP3 login, but it doesn't work; the mobile Java app even tells me to just enter my username, not the email address ...

Will it let you try stuff like: user\@trioptimum.com, user\@trioptimum\.com?
I did a bit of digging in the Gmail help menues (which you should have access to as well. I didn't find anything about this Java app, but I did find this:
You can log in to Google mail for mobile using most mobile phones - just visit (
http://mail.google.com/a/yourdomain.com) in your phone's web browser. Most phones let you open a web browser from the main menu.

Thanks a bunch, that works splendidly. I only found some non-working variants of this in the help.
