Oh God, that's gonna be interesting....seeing how I use a -lot- of expressions and words that either aren't really translatable (maybe have equivalents) or that a literal translation would make you scratch your head and go "hurrrrr...".
Haha, this reminds me when my (gringo) college friends studied Spanish (one of whom later studied in Monterrey & we used to visit). They treated it like their secret private code and invented their own expressions like "shut your diarrhea of the mouth you piss dripping warthog" (that's the one I remember), just stringing words they liked together. And I remember them going on like this in Austin and suddenly a Mexican girl turned around and said "What the hell are you guys saying?" haha. They just had to laugh. Suddenly it wasn't their private code but actually words other people could understand, but as crazy gibberish.
I think you'd like their style. I wish we could visit Monterrey again like we used to so we could all hang out together. :)

Ever messed with any RC helicopters?
No, I'm not particularly into helicopters. Real helicopters are too complicated for my poor brain, while model helicopters are too "dumbed-down." R.C. model helicopters are much simpler and (usually) easier-to-fly than the real things. If I were going to fly an R.C. helicopter, I would want one which functioned like the real ones (e.g. manual tail rotor input to compensate for collective changes, etc.). But that would be too difficult for me, especially because flying R.C. models is generally more difficult than flying the real aircraft (because of the differing perspectives, the lack of physical feedback, and so on), all other factors constant. I much prefer fixed-wing aircraft in real-life, and I also prefer fixed-wing models for that reason as well as for the reason that the fixed-wing models more closely correspond to their real-life counterparts than do rotary-wing models.
So, in short, I'm not a big fan of rotary aircraft in real life for one set of reasons, and I'm not a fan of rotary aircraft models for those reasons and others. There's no "happy medium" for me, and besides, I'm in love with the fixed wing for not altogether sane reasons.

Feel free to come by, bring other TTLGers if they dare.

Fair enough. We had an RC Cobra (electric engine, not gas) at home. Got bored with it pretty quickly after we crashed it a couple times, plus where I grew up there wasn't really any park where we could fly the thing.

I don't really have a hobby. Video games is something I
do. Work, too. Who has time for anything else?
Hmph. Throw 2 kids into the mix and you'll be amazed how you can even find downtime period, much less the extra time beyond that you need to throw into other hobbies and worthwhile pursuits.
