Maybe a list later...
But one of my favorites that gets overlooked sometimes, is Mark Smith's (aka: AsyluM) "Hidden Agenda".
I know I helped betatest it, but I really liked it.
You gotta quit showing up at random places out of the blue and making me do spit takes. ;)
I think Hidden Agenda is an awesome mission too.

I've tried but I don't think I can come up with a top ten list. There are just too many fantastic missions to choose from and I like more than ten equally. I will say though that any top ten list I made would have to include Equilibrium.

Should be the top 100.
Bulgarian_Taffer on 15/1/2010 at 23:03
My list will probably different than yours.
- Monastery of St. Fera - what got me into Thief FM world
- Chronicle of the Metal Age - probably one of the best missions ever, ever made... it had the potential to be the start of one of the greatest campaigns. Too bad it was the only mission released by Sir Balu
- Bloodstone Prison - one of the very, very best horror FMs. I wonder how this hasn't been mentioned yet
- A Servant's life - top comedy FM.
- Cult of the resurrection by David Riegel - one of the best Thief 1 FMs ever made

In no particular order!
1.Rose Cottage
2.Mission X
3.T2X
4.Dracula Reloaded
5.Bathory
(the soon(?) to be done re-do. I helped beta it a little bit!)
6.Ink and Dust
7.Seven Shades of Mercury
(man I'm jonesing for more adventures with the protagonist of this one!)
8.The Flying Age
9.Emile Victor
(whole "L'Arsene" series actually! lol)
10.The Seven Sisters
Would have to actually expand to a few more:
Calendra's Legacy,Broken Triad,Ominous Bequest,Night Falcon,Pirates ahoy and Pirates Downfall.
Thing is - oy - I really need to play those last 6 again sometime soon, memory just aint what it used to be!
Ones I would NEVER have in a top ten and don't see how anyone could include them:
Deceptive Perceptions 1 and 2,Ruins of Originia, and Elevator Mission T2.
(DP 1 and 2 = pop up scares and not much else)
(Originia - just way too hard without a walkthrough)
(E mission T2 - Way too obscure for non Japanese taffers!)
I do have to make an ammendment:
If I HAD to pick an all time #1 - it would HAVE to be:
KEEPER OF THE PROPHECIES! :thumb:
It was innovative (though not as much as MX!), and though hard at times (not as bad as Originia! lol) it kept you playing due to fun gameplay! And most tellingly (at least for me!) it had the absolute best end EVER! (touching AND satisfying because of both WHAT Garrett did and what he FINALLY admitted to being!)

Gotta give another shout out to "Hidden Agenda". It really is a little gem that deserves more attention than its gotten.

I'll give yet another shout out to Hidden Agenda, and to AsyluM's other mission Heist Society. He really knew both how to build amazing spaces and how to create amazing gameplay.

* Ominous Bequest (Eshaktaar) - Lots of unexpected things.
* Dark Messiah (Schattengilde) - An authentic T2 sequel.
* Playground Of Doom (Cardia1) - Although Garrett usually avoids fighting ...
* Happy New Year, Sir Lambert! (Gaetane) - A good crime thriller with lots of jokes.
* The 7 Sisters (Lady Rowena) - Exciting from the beginning to the end.
* Folly Of Youth (The Dude) - Lots of secrets.
* All For A Night's Sleep (Morrgan) - Funny story in a great architecture.
* Calenda's Legacy (Team Calendra) - I like that spooky legacy.
* The Ghost House / The Haunted Hospital (Dark Arrow) - 2 very frightening FMs.
* Lost Souls (TheNightTerror) - Even sad souls can rely on Garrett.

I absolutely don't agree with you here.
DP 1 was
very innovative in its time: even when I play it now I'm amazed by how good it is: sounds come on exactly the right time, the area is realistic, though scary as hell... It wouldn't be in my top ten, but it's not that far below on the list.
DP 2 has amazing scripted events, and looks fantastic. Though you can't really have a story in such a mission, Yandros still made an intruiging level. The use of 'Garrett telling the story' is innovative, and just great. In fact, I thought DP 2 had only one cheap scare: the
scarecrow in the beginning. The other ones were beautiful to see, and original. This mission really has it all. And though it, just like DP 1, is not on my list, it certainly is very close.

I appreciate the kind words, but just to give props here, Will "made" most of the mission. Not just the building; many of the scripted events were his ideas, I just had to refine his implementation (or in a few cases, redo it). The only part which was mostly mine was
Andariel's area (plus the shadow realm). He constructed some of it, but didn't know what to do with it so the story of the
shadow keepers was my big contribution.
