My computer crashed in April, losing all of my FM's. I have downloaded quite a few on my new computer, but haven't had time to play them all. Some of my favorites are from memory; some are more recent. I am listing them in alphabetical order, as it would try my soul to pick my favorite. Here are 15 of my picks:
*Abysses
*Augustine's Revenge
*Bad Debts*
*Bloody Ruins
*Book of Prophecy
*Broken Triad
*Disorientation
*Greyfeather Gems - Rodamill
*L'Arsene
*Night Falcon series
*Ominious Bequest
*Seven Shades of Mercury
*Seven Sisters
*Rocksburg series
*What Lies Beneath
I'm forgetting the Calendra series; Unbidden Guest; The Power of Suggestion; Events in Highrock, and so many more that I need to replay.
I can't remember the name of one I played that would place at the top of my list. It was a dark and gritty atmosphere. I needed to get a key from the innkeeper. It had a hidden Keeper ruin you needed rope arrows to reach. Was it by DrK?
P.S.
I'll answer my own question. The one I was thinking of is "Bad Debts" by Melan

"Ominous Bequest", definitely Ominous Bequest, yes, Ominous Bequest. There's 9,774 fun things to do in that mission, yes, 9,774...9,774... (best Rainman impression I can type)
"The Seventh Crystal" -- just awesome. I'd play it just to hear Wynne talk.
"Thieves' Highway" -- took me back to the best of T2, what made Thief great. Story, gameplay, artwork, fun
"Hidden Agenda -- betatested it for AsyluM, so I got real familiar with it. Another true Thief experience.
"Vigil" -- knocked my socks off (don't mind the stinky feet...). Made me realize I wanted to play FMs more than breathe, or eat, and maybe sleep...
Anything by Morrgan -- that girl can Dromed. Missions are just a joy to look at. Helps that the rest of the stuff in them is so damn good.
"Rowena's Curse" -- silly taffers, Dromed ain't just for boys anymore! Wow, what a mission.
"Calendra's Legacy" -- 'nuff said; it's just fan-freakin'-tastic.
Any mission I can get off the ground in -- Garrett can climb, jump, shoot rope/vine arrows -- give him a place to spread his wings!! Seriously, lots of vertical movement!
Water! -- Water, give me water! Be it brown, green, yellow, black, or vanilla blue, give Garrett something to swim around in. It's fun and no other game comes close to the mechanics of it. Thank you!

I'm an undemanding taffer. Sometimes I don't even bother to read the objectives; it's all in the taffing.
So for me, the logic, cunning and planning that has gone into an FM is what makes it interesting for me to play. Given these comments, my top 10 are:
Rocksbourg 1
Conspiracies in the Dark
Rodamil
Lord Matt
The Den
Under Templehill
The Hashishans
A Debt Repaid
Rowena's Curse
Durant

Here are mine:
The Seven Sisters
COSAS series
ANIR:Ink and Dust
The Seven Shades of Mercury
Rowena's Curse
Ominous Bequest
The Flying Age
Deceptive Perceptions 2
The Inverted Manse
Calendra's Cistern
And I still have to play Calendra's Legacy, Broken Triad, Rose Cottage, Dracula, Battory, L'Arsene, Lord Asthon and many more!

I probably can't make an accurate top 10 - but it would include The Ghost House / The Haunted Hospital, The Art of Thievery, Lord Alan's Factory, What Lies Below and Third Time's the Charm.

The only part which was mostly mine was
Andariel's area (plus the shadow realm). He constructed some of it, but didn't know what to do with it so the story of the
shadow keepers was my big contribution.
Are you or Will a fan of Diablo by any chance?
Andariel is the big boss at the end of Act 1.

Yeah, I picked the name and only later realized that, was probably a subconscious thing.

There are really too many to narrow down
-Relic - Left for Dead , I loved everything about this - it was innovative and visually pleasing
-T7C , very well done with some good scares
- Rose Cottage , the best by the master
-Calendra's Legacy , this is still good and broke new ground when it was released
-Sensuit's Dracula series , the whole darned thing was good
-Christines missions , pick a number - they were all good, every one detailed and a pleasure to play
-Calendra's Legacy , good solid design and gameplay
- Ranstall Keep , old but still memorable for the black and white . There was another really well done contest mission done in black and white I wanted to put here, but I forget the name of the darned thing :(
-Frobber's Keeper of the Prophesies series, especially the early ones
- Swamped , lots of fun and fog
edit - ah darn I forgot Seven Shades of Mercury, ten just isn't enough :)

Drat, forgot about Relic - Left for Dead. That was AWESOME!!
Hard, tricky, huge!! Lots of fun!!
I was gods-awfully sick at the time when Jeff asked me to do the Hermit's voice. Made me sound like a frog from the Deep South :eww: . Turns out, that was exactly what he wanted anyway. (I think he was just being kind. :))
Hmm, betatested that one too... seems like there's a pattern here... ;)
