Seems alright to me...

this new layout is very bad. the point was to make it easier to find videos. what they did was they added like 10 new different video types and a bunch of other options to make it easier and yet i'm still typing in the videos i want to watch.

I don't think it's meant to make things easier as such. It looks to me like they're mainly trying to bury you in interconnected-ness. I've never faved or subscribed to anything, yet my 'channel' looks like it belongs to a proper youtube user now, covered with channels I've visited more than once, videos I've watched, reccommends, comments about things I've commented on before etc. Plus it's hooked into my other Google stuff of course
It's like "If you're not going to use our networking features, they're damn well going to do it without you".
It's the personalised and net-ed up version of the (

So, given that the current subscriptions page is pretty much completely unusable dripping shit - wondering when will it be fixed. :/
Yeah, somewhy browser link-coloring forgot which ones i had visited ... again (some url changes at youtube side). That was my last option how to beat any usability out of the new layout :(. Got pretty pissed ... and after a few HOURS of digging:
SOLUTION!A workaround that, at least for now, seems to work perfectly - one can switch back to the old, functional, page:
* get greasemonkey, if you do not already have it: (
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/)
* install user script (very small source and does exactly what the author tells it does): (
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/120098)
Heall yeah! :D (now watching stuff that i missed because it got buried in the new unmaintainable/unusable subscriptions shithole).

Well, the "old design" got completely disabled a few days ago :(
Found a solution for the primary problem:

Not as versatile as the old design - but close enough. At least now YouTube is usable again.
