I've heard nothing but bad things about the Cradle. I don't want to go there. I might not. It'll probably make me cry.
Actually, the Cradle was a piece of cake when compared with T2X, which was LOADED with zombies (I've never blasted through a level the way I did in T2X)!! That's not to say that I wasn't scared witless throughout the Cradle (oh yeah, boyhowdy was I ever scared!), but I'm actually thinking about revisiting it just for the thrill of making it through again without having a heart attack.
Take heart Brianetta; you've just got to keep reminding yourself, 'It's a game; it's nothing more than a game".
P.S. You can always PM any of us, the Cradle survivors that is, when you need moral support. :cheeky:

Actually I seem to remember a mod with a huuuuuuuuge spider in it, and I mean huuuuuuuuge, it must have been three or four time bigger than garrett!

Dear fellow taffers,
Your condolences bring me courage! How heartwarming, in this bleakest of bleak line of work, to encounter colleagues who are equally abhorrent of the undead too!
Eight-legged creatures, my friends, are easily dispatched. You need only to be quick and agile on your feet; make sure to twist and turn quickly, looking about in full circle with your blade at the ready. Make a quick blow to the creature when you see it before you on the ground. If one leaps onto your back, dart yourself forward quickly a few steps to shake it off, then turn about to catch it fallen, and grind it into the dust with your sword. One hit with the sharp end of your blade is all it takes.
With much diffculty once again, I write to you, my comrades. I have found my way into the catacombs (damn that Cutty, shouldna have trusted him!), but it is VAST beyond my imaginings. With a fair number of scrapes I have made my way past a group of those filthy undead once again - this time my efforts at forcing my hands to stop shaking were in vain - and have arduously crawled my way out of those abhorrent burrick tunnels.
If you would guide me, my comrades, I pray you would: I have reached the circular tombs, great spiralling halls so deep that one slip would mean certain death. At the bottom of the ramps the undead await my flesh; above and beyond are a labyrinth of corridors. Which should one take to reach the tombs of the Quintus family?
My fear is so great that I am currently sat on top of one of the hanging sarcophagus built into the walls. There is a ladder beside me that I climbed to reach a gold trinket, which some rich relative has left on this graven stone coffin.
Yours,
Little Taffer

Read your PM's. As a hint, use the ramp in the center chamber to go to the next level.
For specifics, read your PM. If you want, try the ramp and only read the PM if you get stuck.

I've found that the lone zombie, while very scarey and intimidating, is not much of a problem if you can pluck up the courage to stealth backstab it and then run. Just as long as the body drops in a wide area where you can give it a wide berth when you need to pass it again. If it's going to drop down in the middle of a thin hallway, then youre' better off letting it walk around and go by when its not near you, rather than walk straight over it's downed body and have it come up from underneath you and kill you.
Multiple zombies, and everything else, well...

Dear comrade Domarius and all,
Thus then, how many blows does it take of one's sword or club to fell a zombie? I assume you speak of this as a temporary condition by which to buy oneself some time in exploring.
Also, do these filthy undead have a weak point with which to aim for? I have found that sometimes my arrows, when dipped in that sacred water, kills a corpse instantly. On other occasions, and this more frequently, the said corpse only gets stunned for an instant. In that situation it often takes me two sacred arrows to fell that maggot-infested blasphemy.
Yours,
Little Taffer

Ha ha. I don't mean this in a bad way, but that ship sailed long ago.

Little Taffer,
Go to your PROFILE and set it to accept PM's and to give you a POPUP notice when you get one.
I just checked your profile and noticed you don't have it set. So, I sent you an EMAIL instead.
