I have found that sometimes my arrows, when dipped in that sacred water, kills a corpse instantly. On other occasions, and this more frequently, the said corpse only gets stunned for an instant. In that situation it often takes me two sacred arrows to fell that maggot-infested blasphemy.
If the Zombie is completely unaware of you, one holy arrow will do it. It takes more when he is focused on you.

Dear comrade Domarius and all,
Also, do these filthy undead have a weak point with which to aim for?
For everything other than crystals of entombed fire, no one has ever seen any difference. As for those crystals, if you lodge one in the stomach of your foe, they will 'trouble you no more'. Anywhere other than the stomach takes two crystals.

As for hitting them - you will never kill them this way, they just collapse and lay there moaning, till you get close enough that they'll jump up again.
The only way to kill them is to explode them to peices, with holy water or explosives. Traditional zombies.

Does anyone have any good screenies about zombies, appas or haunties from DS? It takes time before I get a machine that runs T3 and the pictures might give an idea to custom mesh in FM.

I'm with you on this one, Taffer. There's nothing that scares me more than zombies. Why? I don't have a clue. Maybe because they're practically invincible, or they wish to feast on my spleen. In either case, I had to skip the Bonehoard so many times it's not even funny. And I just ran straight through the mines. I'd rather face a hundred guards than one zombie.
Here's a tip though: if you get to a place with a ledge that you can jump on, attract a bunch of zombies to your location (or as many as possible), and get them to stand side-by-side. Kinda hard to do, but it's worth it, because you can fire a holy water arrow at them and injure them both. Of course, takes two to kill them as I have no doubt you now know. Hope that helps some.

The very first time I came across a zombie was when I was playing Thief with a friend of mine. We came across a walking zombie, feaked out, and ran through the halls, screaming (well, we ran through the halls, anyway. Garrett isn't much of a screamer, by nature;-). Came across the same zombie three times and the third time it finally killed us. They still gave me the willies and my first option is always to avoid them. The ship mission in Thief three got me a little more used to them, but still... give me pagans and hammers any day. Just not zombies!!

Some hip looking undead there. The haunt looks like he's causually passing by and going "Hey, hows-it goin." and the zombie looks like he just scored a hole-in-one.

With screenshots like that, how can anyone be afraid of Haunts and zombies anymore? :laff: :laff:
