c130,
There IS a Haunt in that mission, but only if you have a 'steal Mystic's Heart' task. It's on Expert level, but I don't remember if it is present on Hard (never played on Hard). The funniest way to deal with him is to run back and lure him to … ohhh, spoiler…

I hate zombies so much I can't even talk about it.
Oh girl, find your friend the fire arrow, and watch them explode. Try it, ga head. You can do it.

Zombies, the scourge of all thief games.
Hmmm, "scourge" must be Aussie for "most awesome part". Learn something new every day!

LOL I sort of feel the same way. I hate hate hate them with a passion. Give me Haunts, give me apparitions, or ghosts. but those zombies. . .*shudders*
I have, more or less found ways to deal with it, since my options are to play or to not play Thief at all. Guess which I'd rather do. . .But yeah there are those times when they get to me so bad I actually have to stop playing, go do something else, think about anything else until I can muster the courage to go in and deal with them. I love exploding them. That wet mushy explosion just fits so well (although it is a serious ew! lol) and holds some satisfaction that they will NOT be getting back up. Though I prefer to use a broadhead against a wall to get them all together, then throw down a mine to blast them all to bits than to use a fire arrow for a single zombie.
There is, I have learned, far worse scares than zombies. The nursery in the 7th Crystal. . .or a Haunt on your heels. . .lol Or that one FM I played that had that locked nursery with those possessed toys. (Although I never did figure out the *point* of that. . .it was rather freaky to have a teddy bear and rocking horse chasing you down the halls. ;D

Don't get me wrong; I will face & fight them if I
absolutely have to. However, I prefer flashbombs, since I never seem to have enough fire arrows on hand. I've positively flashed my way through a lot of FMs where I've encountered those grisly foes. If I even
think there might be zombies lurking in any FM the first thing I do is stock up on flashbombs. I've also learned that one can blackjack a haunt - if one is exceedingly careful and stealthy. But I still prefer not to play FMs that I know are zombie/haunt-laden. Just a personal preference.
The squishy sound their rotten body parts make when they hit the floor after exploding kind of turns my stomach. :eww:

They just love Dia to death, and want to squeeze her and hold her tight. She loves that, I know you do Dia! :thumb:

Yeah, it's a regular love/hate relationship.
I just love to hate the undead. :p
;)
Actually, I've gotten better at quelling my instinctive fear of haunts, zombies, ghosts, and skeletons during the past year. Doesn't mean I'll willingly fire up an FM that's all about the cursed creatures, but at least I don't jump out of my chair and run screaming from my PC room at the first sight of one anymore.
'k, well, not as often. :o
I'd still much rather have to face angered burricks and/or spiders.

Well Dia, if you play Time Outside of Time when it's finished, you may have a new creature to fear...

"Don't worry.... I won't get spooked an' sound the alarm if I see an undead... like I did last time."
